Scientific Projects

This page showcases some (the ones that are good enough for public viewing) scientific projects and presentations done in official academic capacity. The projects are in orange and research papers (whether published or unpublished) are in green.

Two-Dimensional Continuous Albedo Cellular Automata extension on Watson and Lovelock 1983 Daisyworld Model. Putting this here because I liked the time-evolution animation, but the reports and presentations were kinda meh.

  1. Data Analysis for Galactic Dynamics and Formation. These are seven individual reports on different skills and topics in galactic astrophysics using data from HST, JWST, VLA and ALMA (2026). [Combined Report].

  2. Bonding with Periodic Variable Stars. As a mentor of SP3176 at NUS, I contributed in creating this project on measuring and analysing light curves of periodic variable stars (2025). [Assignment Link].

  3. Optimisation of LEO satellites Doppler shift compensation by reducing TLE errors and improving trajectory prediction algorithms. Research done while attached at the Satellite Technology and Research (STAR) Centre, Singapore (2025). [Report, Presentation, Poster].

  4. Reproducing and analysing Stefansson et al. 2023’s paper, “A Neptune-mass exoplanet in close orbit around a very loss-mass star challenges formation models” (2025). [Report].

  5. String Theory: Analysis of the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou (FPUT) Problem. Pythonic implementation of the original FPUT problem with 2D extension (2024). [Presentation].

  6. Getting the W: Substantiating the rate variable, W, introduced by Kawaguchi et al. to model F1-ATPase. Critisizing existing work in literature on the mechanical properties of ATPase (2023). [Presentation].

  7. An Exercise in Demonstrating Time Dilation. Experiment on creating a muon detector and collecting data at different altitudes to demonstrate time dilation (2023). [Report].

  8. Fano-resonant metasurfaces for virus sensing application*. Research done while attached under the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), Singapore (2021). [Report, Presentation].

  9. Growth Analysis of Sunspot in AR12741 using High-Resolution Solar Imaging*. Research done at National Junior College, Singapore (2020). [Report].

  10. Closing-up onto our sun: Solar Imaging*. Research done at National Junior College, Singapore (2019). [Report].

* These research papers may not be the best, but at least they exist and that is good enough for my under 18 self.
